Job Description

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Berlin is part of the globally recognized LEGOLAND brand, which operates immersive family entertainment centers featuring LEGO-themed attractions and experiences. LEGOLAND Discovery Centres are indoor family destinations designed to spark creativity, learning, and fun for visitors of all ages, especially children and LEGO fans. Located in prominent locations, such as Westchester for this specific role, these centers combine play, adventure, and educational activities in a vibrant environment. The LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Berlin offers a unique blend of entertainment and edutainment, aiming to create memorable experiences that encourage imagination and interactive play.

As a Guest Experience Cafe Host at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Westchester, you will be an essential part of the team that brings magic to life for every guest. This part-time role requires candidates to be at least 18 years old and available to work three full days per week, including one weekend day. Working in the cafe team, you will help ensure guests not only enjoy their visit but also have a friendly and fun cafe experience amidst the attractions. The role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about creating joyful and memorable moments for families and guests of all ages.

Your key responsibilities will include engaging with visitors in a positive and dynamic way, maintaining safe and smooth operations in high-traffic areas, and contributing to a welcoming and clean environment. You will work as part of a larger team of over 31,000 Merlin Entertainments colleagues who focus on creating, playing, and delivering magical experiences worldwide. Your role will specifically involve managing guest interactions, handling crowd control to keep lines safe and stress-free, keeping public cafe areas tidy and fully stocked, and following all opening and closing procedures to ensure seamless daily operations.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.00 and access to a range of benefits provided by Merlin Entertainments, the parent company operating LEGOLAND Discovery Centres internationally. By joining the LEGOLAND cafe team, you will be part of a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture that values creativity, curiosity, and respect for all. The LEGO Group, known for its commitment to children’s rights, wellbeing, and equal employment opportunities, helps foster an environment where every voice is heard and every team member has the opportunity to grow their career and skills.

The role is perfect for individuals with previous experience in customer service, attractions, or entertainment, and who possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. You should be self-motivated, flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, and ready to bring a friendly and lively spirit to the workplace. Additionally, due to the interaction with children, candidates will undergo child safeguarding screening as part of the hiring process. Joining the LEGOLAND team means you will not only grow professionally but also help deliver fun and inspiring moments that create lifelong memories for guests globally. It's more than just a job - it’s a chance to be part of a world where play and imagination lead to meaningful work experiences and career advancement.
