Job Description
EDITION Hotels are a premier collection of luxury boutique hotels that fuse visionary design with world-class service, created in partnership between boutique hotelier Ian Schrager and Marriott International. This brand is known for its unique blend of polish and personality, perfectionism and individualism, as well as comfort and charisma. The hotels target sophisticated, knowledgeable travelers who appreciate quality, originality, and exceptional service without limitations or conventions. EDITION represents a fresh take on hospitality, combining the reach and reliability of Marriott International with a distinctive luxury experience.
Located at 500 Channelside Dr, Tampa, Florida, this full-time Guest Experience Expert role is not just about the traditional duties of check-in and check-out processes. Instead, it is focused on crafting memorable moments and unique experiences for each guest from arrival through departure. This non-management position calls for individuals who are proactive, ready to engage with guests, and empowered to take initiative in delivering a wide range of personalized services. Whether it is coordinating operational needs, responding promptly to guest requests, completing necessary reports, or sharing local highlights, the Guest Experience Expert plays a key part in weaving transactions seamlessly into the overall guest experience.
The role demands a hands-on approach with an active presence requiring standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Guests receive attentive service facilitated by associates who move confidently through the hotel space and assist with light physical tasks such as lifting and carrying objects weighing up to ten pounds without assistance. A priority is maintaining a safe workplace that adheres to company policies, preserving confidentiality, protecting assets, and upholding high standards of appearance and communication. Excellence in these areas is crucial to ensure each interaction with guests enhances the reputation and success of the hotel.
The position does not require prior experience or supervisory skills but favors candidates with a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Marriott International values diversity, fostering an inclusive work environment that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and ensures equal opportunity. The culture at EDITION encourages associates to bring their authentic selves to work, inspiring a theatrical and heart-felt service approach that continuously delights and enchants guests.
Joining the EDITION brand means becoming part of the extensive Marriott International portfolio, where team members are encouraged to do their best work, find purpose in their roles, belong to a dynamic global community, and develop professionally. This role is ideal for outgoing individuals seeking an inspiring workplace that challenges and motivates while offering the chance to contribute to distinctive guest experiences in the luxury hospitality sector.
