The role encompasses leading a variety of branded experiences such as Storytime, Dance Party, Yoga, Arts and Crafts, and the Master Magi Ceremony. Entertainment Ambassadors serve as character guides and performers who represent beloved Great Wolf characters at meet-and-greet events, community functions, and on-site activities. This dynamic position requires strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and a passion for entertaining families and children in a lively and professional manner.
The opportunity is open to candidates at least 16 years old (15 years old for certain aquatics roles), with flexible employment options including full-time, part-time, and flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles and commitments. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years or older (15 years for certain aquatics positions)
- flexibility regarding scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- able to sit and/or stand for extended periods
- ability to wear and maintain character costumes including endurance in heat and humidity for up to 60 minutes
- ability to dance and perform in hot, humid, and outdoor environments for up to 60 minutes
- successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Some high school education or equivalent
- proven customer service skills and communication skills
- ability to read and interpret English language manuals relating to safety, operations, and procedures
- successful completion of a criminal background and drug screen
- comfortable speaking, dancing, and performing in front of large groups multiple times a day
- previous experience in entertainment, dance, or theater preferred
- charismatic, enthusiastic attitude
- ability to multi-task and prioritize duties with minimal direction
- experience working with children or as a character preferred
- proven teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Personally interact with Great Wolf Lodge guests
- willingness to perform child-friendly promotional activities on-site and in the community
- willingness to represent Great Wolf Lodge, and our mission and core values, in a positive manner on and off site
- perform all branded experiences consistently according to standard operating procedures
- perform high energy brand events/experiences throughout the shift including storytime, dance party, yoga, arts and crafts, master magi ceremony and other Great Wolf branded experiences
- interact with families while leading different hands on activities such as arts and crafts, bingo, board games
- responsible for all aspects of character appearances and entertainment at the property including performing character appearance duties according to Great Wolf Lodge standards
- act as a guide for characters to and from designated meet and greet locations
- responsible for character costume operations including care, cleaning, maintenance
- commit entirely to the assigned scheduled opportunities for specific characters to appear at on-site and off-site events
- participate in seasonal event activities throughout the year
- learn new programming multiple times a year including dances, crafts or themed events
- act as though you are on stage at all times, effectively entertaining pack members, families and children through public performance
- perform and/or provide support to all necessary community appearances
- assist entertainment team with inventory of event and activity materials
- maintain a safe, clean and professional environment during the organization, coordination and production of branded experiences
