Residence Inn by Marriott Long Beach is a premier extended-stay hotel located in Long Beach, California, known for its welcoming atmosphere and spacious suites designed to provide guests with the comforts of a modern home. As part of the esteemed Marriott International portfolio, Residence Inn is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through personalized service and a focus on the unique needs of long-term travelers. The hotel emphasizes the value of teamwork, diversity, and inclusivity, fostering a work environment where associates from diverse backgrounds are celebrated and respected. Residence Inn serves business and leisure guests alike, offering full kitchens in suites and amenities that cater specifically to extended stays, ensuring guests can thrive during their time away from home.
The House Aide position at Residence Inn by Marriott Long Beach is a full-time, non-management role critical to maintaining the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role is very much about more than just housekeeping; it is about creating memorable and positive experiences for guests through attention to detail and dedication to quality. The House Aide, also known as a Guest Environment Expert, is trained to handle a wide range of housekeeping functions that cover the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms as well as public areas within the hotel. This position involves moving freely throughout the hotel to perform cleaning tasks, restock supplies, and respond promptly to guest requests.
In this role, the House Aide operates with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, always ensuring that all spaces are maintained to a standard that supports the overall guest experience. Tasks require physical activity, including standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, as well as lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. The ideal candidate will be attentive to workplace safety, adhere strictly to company policies, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional standards related to personal appearance and communication.
Residence Inn by Marriott is firmly dedicated to equal employment opportunities, actively fostering an inclusive culture that values the unique perspectives and talents of its associates. This commitment helps build a supportive and enriched workplace where everyone can grow and succeed. Employment considerations include non-discrimination based on disability, veteran status, and any other legally protected categories. Marriott also evaluates applicants with criminal histories in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
The House Aide position offers a competitive hourly wage of $26.00 and requires a reliable, hardworking individual who is passionate about hospitality and committed to delivering excellent service. Joining Residence Inn by Marriott means becoming part of a global team where you can find purpose in your work, belong within a community of dedicated professionals, and continuously develop to be the best version of yourself. This role not only provides the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to guests' long stay experiences but also to grow within a respected international brand recognized for quality and service excellence.
