The position of Guest Environment Expert is a full-time, non-management role based at the JW Marriott at 1777 Walker Street, Houston, Texas. This dynamic role goes beyond ensuring clean rooms and freshly made beds; it is about crafting memorable and unique experiences for guests. Guest Environment Experts are highly skilled individuals with diverse housekeeping functions, responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the entire hotel. Empowered to take initiative, they move freely throughout their designated spaces to perform tasks ranging from fulfilling guest requests, stocking cleaning carts, and cleaning rooms and public areas. This role requires attention to detail and an understanding that a clean and well-maintained environment significantly contributes to a guest’s overall experience. Physically demanding, this role requires associates to be on their feet and moving for extended periods, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. The successful candidate will be committed to ensuring a safe workplace, adhering strictly to company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, upholding high-quality standards, and presenting themselves professionally in uniform and communication. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or relevant cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional personal appearance and communication
  • Willingness to work full-time at the Houston, Texas location

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or related field is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties including lifting and moving heavy objects
