The hotel features spacious suites equipped with fully functional kitchens, modern amenities, and personalized service designed to accommodate both business and leisure travelers looking for a blend of convenience and hospitality. Known for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences, Residence Inn fosters a culture centered on teamwork, integrity, and respect, ensuring every member of the staff is empowered to contribute to the success and reputation of the property.
The Housekeeping and Laundry department at Residence Inn plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that guests expect. The Guest Environment Expert position is a full-time, non-management role offering an hourly wage of $26.00. This role extends beyond basic cleaning duties — it is about creating unique and memorable experiences for guests by ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are immaculate and welcoming. Guest Environment Experts are empowered to anticipate and respond to guest requests, replenish cleaning carts, and perform various housekeeping and general maintenance tasks throughout the hotel. Being a guest-centric position, it requires individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated to upholding Marriott International's operational standards.
In this role, professionals are constantly on the move, engaging in a variety of physical tasks such as standing, walking for extended periods, lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Their responsibilities also include adhering to company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment, preserving guest privacy, maintaining quality standards, and presenting themselves in a professional manner through appropriate uniforms, appearance, and communication. The role demands versatility and reliability since the Guest Environment Expert may be called upon to perform additional reasonable tasks as necessitated by daily operations.
Residence Inn prides itself on an inclusive and diverse workforce, actively promoting equal opportunity employment and fostering a culture where every associate feels welcomed and valued. The hotel embraces a rich blend of cultures, talents, and experiences, recognizing that its strength lies in this diversity. Marriott International also complies with applicable laws concerning non-discrimination and accommodates individuals with disabilities, veterans, and applicants with criminal backgrounds, making it a supportive and empowering workplace for all.
By joining Residence Inn by Marriott Long Beach Downtown as a Guest Environment Expert, employees have the unique opportunity to become part of a prestigious hospitality brand known for its legendary service culture. Here, teamwork is essential and relationships formed among staff members foster a collaborative work atmosphere. Employees help guests thrive during prolonged stays, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This position is not only a job but a pathway to professional growth within Marriott International’s expansive network of brands, where associates are encouraged to achieve their full potential and become their best selves.
