Job Requirements

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Previous bartending experience preferred
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Must have good grasping, writing, and repetitive motion capabilities
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Must be able to work varying schedules as needed
Must be able to efficiently operate MICROS system or registers
Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and guests
Must complete background check and work authorization verification
Must complete liquor liability training within 30 days of employment
Ability to handle cash accurately
Regular attendance
High work ethic and self-initiative
Ability to work in high pressure situations
Must maintain sanitation and cleanliness
Follow age identification and alcohol awareness guidelines

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous bartending or beverage service experience
Knowledge of liquor types, drink recipes, and cocktail preparation
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience with guest complaint resolution
Basic computational ability
Familiarity with MICROS system or similar registers
Ability to memorize drink ingredients and garnishes
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain staff and guest confidentiality

Job Duties

Be completely familiar with all types of liquor, recipes, and drink prices, including proper glassware and garnishes
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly while maintaining positive guest relations
Resolve guest complaints ensuring satisfaction
Maintain bar supplies and prepare daily requisitions
Know drink recipes, prices, and beverage types
Follow age identification guidelines and check IDs courteously
Handle cash accurately including proper discounting, using MICROS system or registers
Promote and upsell liquor and food
Enforce red line system consistently
Comply with alcohol awareness guidelines
Complete liquor liability training within 30 days and every two years thereafter
Observe proper sanitation and cleanliness
Complete all sidework before and after shifts
Never leave liquor unattended during shifts
Work cooperatively with associates
Promote a culture of guest service and positivity
Perform reasonable requests assigned by management
