Job Description

Molina Healthcare is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing quality health plans and services to underserved and vulnerable populations in the United States. With a mission focused on improving the health and lives of our members, Molina Healthcare offers Medicaid, Medicare, and other government-sponsored health plans. Their commitment extends beyond healthcare coverage, as they actively engage with communities to enhance access to critical health and social resources. As one of the prominent managed care providers, Molina Healthcare is rooted in community-centric approaches to foster better health outcomes and equitable care for all members.

Molina Healthcare is currently seeking a Growth & Community Engagement Senior Specialist to join their team in either Pierce or Thurston County, with occasional travel to King County as needed. This role is vital in expanding and strengthening Molina’s membership base through dedicated community engagement. The position is field-based, requiring 50-70 percent of time spent interacting directly with community organizations, healthcare providers, and local agencies. The Senior Specialist will act as a trusted ambassador of Molina Healthcare, fostering strong relationships to support growth and retention of members. This is not just a role within an office; it requires dynamic fieldwork including attending, hosting, and coordinating enrollment events and community programs that educate and inform individuals about Molina’s health insurance products.

Ideal candidates for this position come from a diverse range of backgrounds, including health educators, community liaisons, outreach workers, insurance agents, marketers, or public health aides. The position demands exceptional networking abilities, excellent public speaking skills, and a passion for serving the community. Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish, are highly preferred to better serve Molina’s diverse populations. The role requires one to be comfortable working independently and managing a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

The Growth & Community Engagement Senior Specialist will be pivotal in executing Molina’s strategic objectives, including achieving enrollment targets, building relationships with community-based organizations, healthcare providers, and nonprofits focused on key social determinants of health such as housing and food access. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring less experienced team members and serving as a subject matter expert on healthcare delivery systems and wellness topics. Molina Healthcare supports its employees through a culture of empowerment, enabling them to do what they love—helping others while advancing their careers within a supportive and inclusive work environment.

This position offers competitive hourly pay ranging between $21.65 and $44.49, commensurate with geographic location, experience, and skill level. It comes with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to work with a passionate team dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the community. Molina Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Interviews are being conducted immediately, encouraging qualified candidates residing in or near Pierce or Thurston Counties to apply without delay.
