Although the franchisee manages all aspects of employment, The Ben West Palm represents a distinctive brand in the hospitality industry, blending modern sophistication with individuality, creativity, and a spirit of luxury that resonates deeply with guests and clients.
The hotel is perched along the Intracoastal Waterway, providing stunning waterfront views and an engaging atmosphere. It features signature venues like Proper Grit, a whisky and supper club-inspired restaurant, and Spruzzo, a rooftop Mediterranean lounge. These elements contribute to its reputation as a premier destination for travelers and event planners alike.
The open position of Group Sales Manager at The Ben West Palm presents an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the hotel's group sales initiatives. This role is full-time and belongs to the management category, offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 annually. The Group Sales Manager will focus on developing and maintaining meaningful client relationships, driving profitable business, and positioning the hotel as the premier choice for meetings, events, and social gatherings in the vibrant West Palm Beach market.
Sales at The Ben is about much more than simple transactions; it is about conveying stories, creating tailored experiences, and fostering strategic growth. The ideal candidate will possess entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and a dedication to excellence, becoming a key contributor to the hotel's ongoing success. Responsibilities include conducting proactive, high-impact sales calls and prospecting to generate new revenue, dedicating the majority of work time to revenue-generating activities, and representing the hotel at various networking and industry events.
Additionally, the role involves new account development through targeted research and prospecting, capturing competitor business through market intelligence, and maintaining strong client relationships with existing accounts through personalized service and upselling strategies. The Group Sales Manager is also responsible for sales administration and yield management, including negotiating rates, preparing tailored proposals, and maintaining detailed records within CRM systems.
This position emphasizes delivering exceptional service throughout the entire sales cycle to ensure clients experience seamless and memorable engagements. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure flawless event execution and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the hotel’s offerings and the competitive landscape are critical to success.
The Ben West Palm fosters a professional, service-driven culture, encouraging integrity, collaboration, and polished representation in all client and partner interactions. The role requires reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to support outside sales calls and client visits.
The hotel offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, unlimited paid time off, holidays, a 401(k) with matching, employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, and lifestyle discounts. These benefits support employees’ well-being and professional growth, making The Ben West Palm not just a place to work, but a place to thrive and become the best version of oneself.
