Job Description
Hyatt is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its commitment to providing outstanding service and memorable experiences to its guests. Renowned for its luxurious hotels and resorts, Hyatt emphasizes the importance of dedicated and attentive associates in delivering exceptional customer service. The company values a culture that fosters growth, collaboration, and excellence in the hospitality industry. Hyatt's commitment to quality and innovation has established it as a leader in the global hotel market, making it a desirable employer for professionals passionate about hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa, a new addition to Hyatt's portfolio, is an exquisite luxury lifestyle hotel set to open in late 2024. Situated in the heart of Mid-Beach within an iconic art-deco building, it combines architectural heritage with modern sophistication. The resort boasts 287 guest rooms, including 34 stunning suites, and uniquely offers the only ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. Guests will enjoy a range of top-tier amenities including a full-service spa, state-of-the-art fitness center, an exceptional dining experience curated by chef José Andrés, two pools, and an exclusive Beach Club that attracts the city’s elite. Spanning 25,000 square feet of innovative indoor and outdoor event space, Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa aspires to become a cultural hub for music, art, and fashion enthusiasts both local and visiting.
The Group Sales Manager role at Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is an exciting junior position that plays a vital role in driving group business revenue and enhancing the property’s market presence. This role focuses on developing and managing corporate, association, incentive, entertainment, social, and other group segments by soliciting, negotiating, and booking guest rooms and meeting spaces. The Group Sales Manager oversees the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract execution and handoff to the events team, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Key responsibilities include proactive prospecting and business development through networks, referrals, third-party platforms, and Hyatt's own sales resources. The role requires excellent negotiation skills to draft contracts that benefit both the client and the hotel. In addition, the manager coordinates closely with hotel operations and event staff to guarantee an outstanding customer experience. This position demands strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal partners and leverages Hyatt’s sophisticated sales and reporting tools for managing pipelines, forecasts, and client activities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of hotel sales experience, preferably within luxury or lifestyle hotel environments, and command deep knowledge of group sales and hotel operations. Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills are essential, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales management systems. Experience with platforms like Envision, CVENT, or Knowland is advantageous. The ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, alongside travel for client meetings and industry events, is required.
Overall, this position offers a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative luxury resort that blends cultural richness with exceptional hospitality. The Group Sales Manager will not only contribute to the hotel’s commercial success but also represent the Hyatt brand in the vibrant Miami Beach market. This role is perfect for motivated hospitality professionals seeking growth and an influential career within a prestigious global hotel company.
