The Westin Dallas Park Central, a distinguished hotel under Crescent Hotels & Resorts, is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their sales team. This role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to optimizing hotel revenues and building lasting relationships with clients and the local community. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Director of Revenue Management to negotiate pricing, manage production, and positively impact the hotel's financial success. The position involves various sales activities such as sales calls, entertainment, familiarization trips (FAM trips), site inspections, and trade shows, all aimed at strengthening the hotel's customer base and expanding sales opportunities.

This role demands a strong understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and the local business environment to maximize revenue. Additionally, the candidate will manage comprehensive reporting and support the operational aspects of booked business including generating proposals, writing contracts, and maintaining customer correspondence. Achieving personal sales goals and providing exemplary customer service by understanding client business and concerns are also key responsibilities.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in group sales within the Dallas area and exhibit a passion for creating authentic customer experiences.   • Minimum two years of group sales experience

Job Duties

  • Work directly with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Director of Revenue Management to negotiate pricing and optimize production to positively impact hotel revenues
  • Build relationships through proactive account solicitation and responsive sales opportunities such as sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, site inspections, and trade shows
  • Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities
  • Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive reporting when needed
  • Use knowledge of market trends and target customer information to maximize revenue
  • Understand competitors' strengths, weaknesses, economic trends, and supply/demand for midtown
  • Execute and support operational aspects of business booked including generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence
  • Achieve personal sales goals
  • Gain understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations and serve the customer by understanding their business and concerns and offering better business solutions
