Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in hotel sales or comparable field preferred
  • proficiency in general computer skills
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to travel for tradeshows and client meetings
  • ability to collaborate effectively with team members and support staff

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • 1-2 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
  • prefer selling negotiating business writing and presentation skills training

Job Duties

  • Selling guest rooms meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups
  • managing accounts
  • conducting site inspections
  • solicit and generate business
  • client entertaining
  • travel to tradeshows
  • sales calls
  • preparing and presenting effective proposals
  • maintaining well organized documentation and reports
  • utilize Hyatt systems and coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate
  • participate or may lead event meetings and sales meetings
  • work as a team member with the sales and catering staff as well as with assigned admin assistants and other support staff
