The Sales/Meeting Connections Manager position at Hyatt Regency St. Louis is an entry-level role ideally suited for individuals who possess some experience in the sales process within the hotel industry. This role serves as a vital link between Hyatt and its clients by focusing on selling guest rooms, meeting spaces, and other associated services to group customers. The position calls for a proactive individual who can manage accounts, conduct site inspections, and generate business through strategic negotiations and presentations. The Sales/Meeting Connections Manager is also responsible for client entertaining, attending tradeshows, making sales calls, and maintaining well-organized documentation and reports. This role works closely with the sales and catering teams and collaborates with administrative assistants and support staff to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of customer service.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in hotel sales or comparable field preferred
  • proficiency in general computer skills
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to travel for tradeshows and client meetings
  • ability to collaborate effectively with team members and support staff

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • 1-2 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
  • prefer selling negotiating business writing and presentation skills training
