Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year of experience in hotel sales or related field preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- proficiency with computer systems
- willingness to participate in ongoing training
- ability to collaborate effectively with team members
Job Qualifications
- a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- refined verbal and written communication skills
- 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
- proficiency in general computer knowledge
- completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training preferred
- training in selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills preferred
Job Duties
- selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups
- managing accounts
- conducting site inspections
- soliciting and generating business
- preparing and presenting effective proposals
- maintaining well organized documentation and reports
- utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements
- participating and leading event meetings, sales and other staff meetings
- working as a team member with sales and catering staff
- maintaining close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and support staff
