Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of experience in hotel sales or related field preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • proficiency with computer systems
  • willingness to participate in ongoing training
  • ability to collaborate effectively with team members

Job Qualifications

  • a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training preferred
  • training in selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills preferred

Job Duties

  • selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups
  • managing accounts
  • conducting site inspections
  • soliciting and generating business
  • preparing and presenting effective proposals
  • maintaining well organized documentation and reports
  • utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements
  • participating and leading event meetings, sales and other staff meetings
  • working as a team member with sales and catering staff
  • maintaining close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and support staff
