The role available is a part-time Group Sales Support position within the Double Eagle Hotel & Casino's Group Sales Department, with a competitive pay rate of $17.00 per hour. This role is designed to support group sales and events by providing assistance to the Group Sales Manager and the Meeting & Event Coordinator/Facilitator. The Group Sales Support staff act as a liaison between the various departments within the hotel and casino, including marketing, sales, and event services, ensuring smooth communication and coordination for group bookings and special events. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Colorado Support Gaming License, a requirement given the nature of the gaming environment in which the hotel operates, and will adhere to all Colorado Limited Gaming Act compliance rules and company policies.

As part of the responsibilities, this position involves managing incoming calls for group function inquiries, following up on prospective group leads, and providing detailed information about hotel accommodations, catering options, transportation, and event space availability. The Group Sales Support professional will also coordinate the setup and readiness of hospitality rooms according to specific group needs, assist with creating and distributing group function sheets and memos to service departments, and maintain reservation and player tracking systems. A crucial aspect of the role includes greeting groups upon arrival and ensuring that all their logistical and hospitality requirements are met for a successful event. The job requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to deliver excellent customer service. Occasionally, this role may also involve participating in marketing and sales meetings, managing special projects, and ensuring all event-related activities comply with gaming regulations. Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid Colorado Support Gaming License
  • Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Ability to sit for extended periods using computer and telephone
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Must work in compliance with Colorado Limited Gaming Act and company policy
  • Willingness to occasionally travel by car or bus to trade shows
  • Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise level
  • Must have close, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years experience in hotel and marketing
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Phone etiquette
  • Computer experience with Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of information

Job Duties

  • Assist with taking all incoming calls for group function requests
  • Assist with follow up on all leads for prospective groups
  • Communicate with prospective groups/guests regarding hotel rooms, Premier Club enrollment, meeting/banquet rooms, menus, charter bus trips, etc
  • Showcase property to prospective groups/guests
  • Conduct weekly meetings in absence of Group Sales Manager or Meeting & Event Coordinator/Facilitator to discuss group function needs
  • Create upcoming group function sheets to keep staff informed
  • Ensure all hospitality rooms are set up and ready according to group specifications
  • Make welcome signs for groups and verify group packets are ready upon arrival
  • Greet groups as they arrive and ensure their hotel, banquet, and hospitality needs are met
  • Maintain groups on hotel reservation system (Megasys)
  • Cancel groups who give notice of non-arrival
  • Use casino play tracking system (CMP) to assist tracking group sales, hotel revenue, and player tracking
  • Attend marketing and group sales meetings
  • Work professionally with all departments to ensure successful events
  • Create weekly memos, GMB's, and BEO's about upcoming functions
  • Keep wall calendars updated and ensure functions are ready on schedule
  • Know and understand Colorado Gaming ICMPs applicable to the department
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed
