We are currently seeking a dedicated, courteous, and knowledgeable Group Reservations Coordinator to join our team at our Los Angeles location at 465 S La Cienega Blvd. This is a full-time, non-management position offering an hourly wage between $32.00 and $35.00. The role is integral to the smooth operation of our hotel’s group reservation services, requiring coordination with in-house departments, affiliates, and external group contacts to ensure impeccable service and efficient management of group room blocks.
The Group Reservations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining ownership of group blocks, including overseeing pickup numbers, reservation methods, billing procedures, and the VIP guest experience. This role demands proficiency in all aspects of reservations and general hotel operations, ensuring all guests receive the highest standard of service. The Coordinator will serve as a departmental role model and mentor, coordinating tasks effectively to meet deadlines and uphold quality standards. They must adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets, and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
Exceptional communication skills are essential, as the Coordinator will regularly interact with guests, employees, and management, using professional language and appropriate telephone etiquette. The position requires the ability to perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. The Coordinator will also be responsible for reporting work-related accidents or injuries promptly and performing any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
This role is ideal for individuals with at least one year of related work experience and a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
