Job Description
REM Community Services, a valued part of the Sevita family, is a dedicated provider of community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For over 50 years, Sevita has been a leader in specialized health care, committed to empowering people to live fuller, more independent lives regardless of the challenges they face. At REM Community Services, we strongly believe that every individual has the right to live well and that everyone deserves a fulfilling career. Joining our team means becoming part of a mission-driven organization with more than 40,000 team members supporting over 50,000 individuals nationwide. We pride ourselves on delivering quality, individualized supports that catalyze growth and independence, while continuously innovating to enhance care.
The role of Program Supervisor at REM Community Services is a critical and rewarding career opportunity for someone passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of others. This position focuses on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by overseeing the effective implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and supervising a dedicated team of caregivers. The position offers an hourly pay of $19 and follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 12 pm to 8 pm. This full-time opportunity allows one to gain valuable supervisory skills while maintaining direct involvement in providing daily support to the individuals we serve.
In this leadership role, the Program Supervisor is accountable for various administrative duties including staff hiring, training, scheduling, and staff oversight. The role is dynamic, balancing direct support to individuals with professional program responsibilities and supervisory tasks. Core duties also involve assisting individuals with their daily activities such as meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care. Additionally, the Program Supervisor plays a vital role in fostering community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings or providing transportation to workplaces and other activities. It is a position that requires excellent organizational skills to manage team coordination and scheduling effectively, along with strong communication skills to build rapport with both team members and the clients.
Since REM Community Services values safety and responsibility, the role requires candidates to have held a valid driver’s license for at least one year post permit, maintain a clean motor vehicle record in alignment with Sevita’s insurability policy, and possess current auto insurance, vehicle registration, and appropriate licensure or certification as mandated by regulatory authorities. This job is open to female candidates only, reflecting the specific staffing needs of the role.
Joining REM Community Services as a Program Supervisor means stepping into a supportive, collaborative work environment with opportunities for career development and advancement. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including 401(k) plans with company matching, paid time off, holiday pay, and flexible scheduling options. Beyond tangible benefits, the position offers rewarding work experience impacting the lives of those served and professional growth within a nationwide network of committed and caring professionals. This is an ideal role for individuals seeking meaningful work that blends direct care with leadership responsibilities, making a positive impact every day.
