Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, this particular position is focused on group room reservations coordination. The role is full-time and classified as non-management within the reservations department. The position demands proficiency in all aspects of reservations and hotel operations, as well as an ability to handle group bookings and related administrative functions. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining ownership of group blocks, managing pickup numbers, reservation methods, billing processes, and providing top-tier service to VIP guests. Additionally, this role calls for a collaborative spirit to coordinate duties seamlessly with other in-house departments, affiliates, and outside group contacts.
The Reservations role requires outstanding communication skills and the ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable service to guests and associates alike. It involves adhering to company policies related to professional appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection. The employee will act as a departmental role model or mentor, assign tasks as needed, and ensure timely completion of duties consistent with quality standards. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and perform light lifting of objects up to 10 pounds. The position also entails following proper telephone etiquette, preparing and reviewing documents accurately, and fostering positive working relationships within the team.
Preferred qualifications for this role include at least one year of related work experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. While supervisory experience is not required, candidates with hotel experience are preferred.
