The role being offered is essential in ensuring the physical upkeep and aesthetic appeal of the community managed by Greystar. This position focuses on maintaining the grounds, amenities, and overall curb appeal, ensuring that all common areas remain clean, safe, and inviting for residents and visitors alike. The role includes ongoing inspection of the property during the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety. Additional responsibilities involve supporting the service team by handling minor repairs, assisting in apartment turn processes, and ensuring that security features, such as lock changes and pool gate operations, comply with safety standards.

This position is hourly, with a pay range between $21.00 and $23.00 per hour, reflecting various factors such as the candidate's experience, skill set, business needs, and geographical location. In addition to the base pay, employees in this position may be eligible for bonus programs depending on the specific corporate or onsite property setting, which can be quarterly, monthly, or weekly. Temporary team members have access to benefits including an employee assistance program and paid sick time, supporting workforce wellbeing.

Incumbents must hold a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart within the property, ensuring efficient mobility and responsiveness across the community. This role also demands adherence to strict safety and risk management policies, including regular participation in safety meetings and mandatory OSHA training. Candidates must be prepared to promptly report hazardous conditions or incidents to maintain a secure living and working environment for residents, guests, and other team members. Demonstrating strong customer service skills is fundamental, as the role requires respectful interaction with residents, addressing questions, and proactively managing maintenance service concerns.

Job Duties

  • Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensure all common areas and amenities are neat and free of litter at all times
  • Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to starting the make-ready process, transfers trash to dumpster or storage area as applicable, and cleans and maintains storage areas
  • Completes assigned minor and routine service requests as requested by Service Supervisor and/or Community Manager, and assists the make-ready specialist in the turn process
  • Changes all locks in accordance with the property's policy and ensure gates to all pool areas are working according to codes and safety standards
  • Distributes notices and communications to residents as necessary
  • Informs appropriate supervisors of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation for residents, team members, guests and others
  • Demonstrates customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, and responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services
