Job Description

Greystar is a globally recognized real estate platform headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, specializing in property management, investment management, development, and construction services for institutional-quality rental housing. With operations spanning more than 260 markets and a portfolio valued over $350 billion, Greystar stands as the largest apartment operator in the United States, managing more than one million units worldwide. The company was founded in 1993 by Bob Faith with a mission to provide world-class service in the rental residential real estate business. Greystar's commitment to quality and innovation has positioned it as a leader in the multifamily housing industry, combining global reach with local expertise to deliver exceptional living experiences.

The Groundskeeper/Porter role at Greystar offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the community's aesthetic and operational standards in Herriman, Utah. This full-time position entails maintaining the physical aspects of the community with a focus on appearance and safety, directly impacting resident satisfaction and the overall appeal of the property. The position requires effective communication skills, ideally in both English and Spanish, to serve a diverse resident population effectively. The Groundskeeper/Porter will be integral in upholding cleanliness by removing litter, pet waste, and debris throughout common areas while supporting service team members in minor and routine maintenance and make-ready processes for apartment units.

Key responsibilities include conducting thorough inspections of the community, managing trash removal from vacant units, and ensuring all amenities are maintained according to safety codes and standards. This role also involves distributing communications to residents, identifying and reporting potential hazards, and actively participating in safety training to comply with company policies. Physical demands of the job are substantial, requiring the ability to stand, walk, climb, lift, and work in varying weather conditions. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, is essential. The role offers a competitive hourly wage between $17.00 and $18.00, with additional bonus opportunities based on performance for onsite positions.

Besides competitive compensation, Greystar provides robust benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, employee discounts on housing at Greystar-managed communities, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, paid parental leave, and an employee assistance program. The company emphasizes a safe work environment and equal opportunity employment, ensuring all employees can work with dignity and respect. Greystar's inclusive culture welcomes qualified applicants regardless of race, gender, age, or any other protected status, fostering a diverse and supportive community.

Joining Greystar as a Groundskeeper/Porter means being part of a world-class team dedicated to delivering exceptional living environments. This role is pivotal in maintaining property standards that contribute to resident experience and the company’s reputation for excellence. Greystar's extensive resources and commitment to employee development ensure ongoing support and growth opportunities within the organization. Candidates who are hardworking, dependable, and passionate about community care will find this role rewarding and impactful.
