The role of Groundskeeper/Porter at Greystar’s Sanctuary property in Lehi, Utah is a full-time position focused on maintaining the physical appearance and safety of the residential community. This position plays a vital part in ensuring that all grounds, amenities, and common areas meet high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal. The Groundskeeper/Porter works closely with the service team members to support maintenance, repair, and turn processes. Responsibilities include litter removal, trash management, general upkeep, minor service tasks, and safety checks. The position demands a proactive approach to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for residents, guests, and team members.

This opportunity offers an hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $19.00, with additional compensation opportunities such as bonuses based on individual and company performance. Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property
  • ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods
  • ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined spaces
  • capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • able to lift, push, pull up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to travel as needed for training or assisting other properties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior groundskeeping or maintenance experience preferred
  • valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property
  • knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA requirements
  • customer service skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • physical ability to perform strenuous activities including lifting and bending
  • strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings
  • ensure all common areas and amenities are neat and free of litter
  • remove trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to make-ready process
  • transfer trash to dumpster or storage area as applicable
  • clean and maintain storage areas
  • complete assigned minor and routine service requests
  • assist make-ready specialist in the turn process
  • change all locks in accordance with property policy
  • ensure gates to all pool areas meet safety codes and standards
  • distribute notices and communications to residents
  • inform supervisors of hazards or potentially dangerous situations
  • demonstrate customer service by treating residents and others with respect
  • respond sensitively to maintenance complaints
  • comply with Greystar’s safety and risk-management policies by attending routine safety meetings and reporting accidents and incidents promptly
