The role focuses on maintaining the physical appearance and functionality of Greystar-managed communities by ensuring that grounds, amenities, and overall curb appeal meet established standards. This position serves as a vital support role to the service team members, actively contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. The individual will perform daily inspections to remove litter, manage trash, assist in make-ready processes of vacant apartments, and conduct routine service tasks. Additionally, the role involves operational responsibilities such as changing locks according to policy, ensuring pool gate safety compliance, and distributing resident communications. A crucial aspect of the position includes upholding safety and risk management protocols by participating in routine safety meetings, completing OSHA training, and promptly reporting incidents or hazards. This position requires physical stamina, flexibility, and a commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring residents' questions and concerns are addressed with respect and sensitivity. The opportunity offers an hourly wage range of $15.00 to $16.00, with eligibility for various bonus programs depending on the specific location and role.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, carrying up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays including being on call
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed
  • Ability to operate golf cart on property

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in maintenance or property management preferred
  • Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and lifting
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety and risk management protocols
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings ensuring all common areas and amenities are neat and free of litter at all times
  • Remove trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to make-ready process and maintain storage areas
  • Complete assigned minor and routine service requests and assist the make-ready specialist in the turn process
  • Change all locks according to the property's policy and ensure pool gates comply with safety standards
  • Distribute notices and communications to residents as necessary
  • Report any hazards or potentially dangerous situations to appropriate supervisors
  • Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents respectfully and responding sensitively to maintenance complaints
  • Comply with safety and risk-management policies through participation in safety meetings and training
