The Groundskeeper/Porter role at Harbor Grove, located in Stuart, Florida, operates within Greystar’s robust and dynamic property management division. This full-time position plays a critical role in maintaining the physical appearance and overall ambiance of the community. The property itself is a stabilized garden-style complex consisting of 324 residential units, reflecting Greystar’s standard of managing high-quality living environments. Working a Monday through Friday schedule, the Groundskeeper/Porter is essential in ensuring all common areas, amenities, and grounds are clean, orderly, and attractive. This position contributes directly to enhancing the curb appeal and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

The role involves continuous inspections to ensure the community is free from litter, debris, and pet waste, as well as supporting the service team by completing minor service requests and assisting with unit turnovers. Responsibilities also include removing trash from vacant apartments and maintaining storage spaces, changing locks according to policy, and ensuring pool area gates comply with safety standards. The Groundskeeper/Porter is also tasked with distributing important notices to residents and alerting management to any potential hazards, thereby playing a part in maintaining both safety and satisfaction in the living environment. Customer service skills are vital, as this position interacts directly with residents, offering respectful and helpful communication and responding sensitively to any complaints related to maintenance.

Physical demands of the job require the ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, climb ladders, and maneuver objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. The individual must also be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and flexible with work hours, including availability for evening, weekend, or holiday call-ins. A valid driver’s license is necessary for operating golf carts within the property. Salary for this position ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, with additional bonus potential based on performance.
