The role available at Greystar involves ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the physical aspects of community properties under their management, focusing on grounds, amenities, and overall curb appeal. The position requires proactive supervision throughout the day to keep common areas tidy, free from debris, litter, and pet droppings, while supporting service team members and assisting with various service requests. This role additionally includes responsibilities such as trash removal from vacant apartments prior to the make-ready process, changing locks as per property policies, maintaining safety and compliance standards around pool gate access, and distributing notices and communications to residents. Safety and risk management are prioritized, with expectations for participation in routine safety meetings and proper reporting of incidents. The role demands a flexible schedule with possible call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may involve occasional travel to assist other properties or attend training sessions. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in property maintenance or related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Capability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Flexibility to work flexible schedules including call duties
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Compliance with safety and risk-management policies
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property
- Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods and perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying, and crawling
- Capability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and maneuver weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance
- Flexibility to work various schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Inspect community areas regularly to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings
- Remove trash from vacant apartments before make-ready processes, maintain storage areas
- Complete minor and routine service requests as assigned
- Change locks according to property policies and ensure pool gate safety compliance
- Distribute notices and communications to residents
- Report hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors
- Demonstrate customer service skills by responding to resident inquiries and complaints
