Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call
  • Prior maintenance or related experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property
  • Proven ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects, and working in confined spaces
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Experience in maintenance or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of safety and risk management practices
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and maintain cleanliness of common areas and amenities
  • Remove trash and remaining items from vacant apartments before the make-ready process, transfer trash to dumpster or storage area, and clean storage areas
  • Complete assigned minor and routine service requests as directed by Service Supervisor or Community Manager
  • Assist the make-ready specialist with the apartment turn process
  • Change locks in accordance with property policy and ensure pool gates comply with safety codes
  • Distribute notices and communications to residents as necessary
  • Report hazards or potentially dangerous situations to appropriate supervisors
  • Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents respectfully, answering questions, and responding to maintenance complaints
  • Comply with safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting incidents promptly and accurately
