This longstanding organization values professionalism and growth, making it an exemplary employer in the real estate and community development sector. Their focus on community building extends beyond property management to fostering workplaces that support inclusion, diversity, and employee success both personally and professionally.
The position of Groundskeeper/Porter at Homecoming at Creekside, a community managed by Lewis Group, offers an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of maintaining and enhancing the community environment. The role primarily involves ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of outdoor spaces including walkways, parking lots, and common areas. Strong attention to detail, a dedicated work ethic, and a willingness to provide excellent customer service are essential qualities for this role. Groundkeepers contribute significantly to creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors, directly influencing the community's overall satisfaction and aesthetic appeal.
This position is hourly, offering a pay rate of $21.50 per hour with additional benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. The Groundskeeper/Porter will be responsible for tasks such as sweeping, blowing, pressure washing, trash removal, cleaning outdoor furniture and fixtures, and reporting safety or maintenance concerns. Working outdoors in various weather conditions is a key part of the job, requiring physical stamina and reliability. The role is part-time with days off on Tuesday and Wednesday, but availability on weekends is required to maintain community standards effectively.
This position also presents growth opportunities within Lewis Group of Companies. Employees can access free maintenance training, and there is a clear career progression path leading to roles like Maintenance Technician or Night Service Manager. Many members of the maintenance team began their careers as Groundskeepers, illustrating the company’s commitment to professional development and long-term employee advancement. Annual merit-based raises and bonus opportunities reflect the organization’s dedication to rewarding hard work and contributing to employee motivation.
At Lewis, you are not just joining a maintenance team but becoming part of a community-oriented company that values inclusivity, diversity, and a supportive workplace culture.
