Job Description
We are a Class A apartment community located in Sandy Springs, Georgia, comprising 355 units and designed to offer top-tier living experiences to our residents. As a well-established residential community, we pride ourselves on maintaining pristine grounds and ensuring the common areas reflect a welcoming and clean environment. Our community thrives on the comfort and satisfaction of our residents, fostering a friendly and vibrant neighborhood feel.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our team. This hourly, non-exempt position offers a competitive pay rate of $19.00 per hour with monthly renewal bonuses that supplement the base salary, creating an attractive compensation package. The role primarily revolves around the upkeep and maintenance of our property grounds and common areas, ensuring safety, aesthetics, and cleanliness. This position requires an individual who enjoys being outdoors, can work independently or collaboratively, and has an eye for subtle details that can elevate the overall look and functioning of the property.
Working as a Groundskeeper here presents a unique opportunity to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of maintenance and repairs in the thriving apartment industry. The role includes responsibilities such as walking the property to identify and address issues, managing trash and debris, executing minor repairs, and performing various maintenance duties. The Groundskeeper supports the operations supervised by the Community Manager, Service Supervisor, and/or Assistant Community Manager, thus playing an integral part of the property's day-to-day management.
This role involves working Monday through Friday with hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, although weekend work may occasionally be necessary based on property demands. The position also requires availability to work two half-days on Sundays each month. We foster an energetic work environment with numerous benefits aimed at promoting employee wellness and work-life balance, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverages, retirement plans with company match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, service awards, employee assistance programs, and even apartment rental discounts.
We are particularly interested in candidates who thrive in an environment where precision and responsibility are valued. The role requires adherence to verbal and written instructions and the ability to act both autonomously and as part of a team. Physical capability to perform the job duties is essential. Our selection process includes criminal background checks and drug screening to ensure a trustworthy and safe workplace. Overall, this position is ideal for someone looking to start or expand their career in property maintenance while working in a supportive community-oriented setting.
