We offer a collaborative workplace culture that supports employee growth, values dedication, and rewards commitment with competitive pay and incentives. The role we are offering is an immediate opening for a full-time Groundskeeper / Porter position to serve multiple locations throughout Pittsburgh.
The Groundskeeper / Porter will work directly under the supervision of the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, with primary responsibilities focused on the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned outdoor and indoor areas of our residential communities. This position requires travel between different property locations throughout Pittsburgh, necessitating a valid driver’s license and dependable personal transportation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and a keen eye for detail to ensure properties remain safe, attractive, and functional for all residents. Duties span routine upkeep such as trash removal and grounds cleaning, exterior lighting inspection and replacement, minor repairs including windows and doors, painting, and maintaining pool areas if certification is obtained for pool maintenance. Candidates will also assist with make-ready apartment preparations, ensure locked storage areas, and uphold safety standards to prevent hazards. This position involves frequent physical exertion including lifting, bending, walking, and working at heights, so stamina and physical fitness are essential.
Emphasizing teamwork and flexibility, the Groundskeeper / Porter must be proactive in reporting and remedying unsafe conditions, be vigilant about utility meter and fixture cut-offs, and stay organized to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and beautification of multiple residential properties, with chances for career advancement in a supportive environment that offers paid training, commissions, and bonuses. Employees benefit from comprehensive healthcare options, retirement plans, and various paid leave benefits, making this an excellent opportunity for those seeking stable employment in property maintenance within Pittsburgh's thriving real estate market.
