Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear
- able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally
- use of gloves, eye protection and other personal protective equipment
- knowledge of safe use and maintenance of various tools including wrenches, hammers, saws, snow blower
- ability to follow OSHA standards and company safety policies
- ability to complete mandatory training courses
- willingness to maintain professional appearance and behavior
- ability to report unusual circumstances and initiate corrective actions
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education
- up to one month related experience or training
- ability to read limited two- and three-syllable words and basic numbers
- ability to speak simple sentences
- ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide by 10's and 100's
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
- knowledge of safe use and maintenance of groundskeeping tools
- completion of fair housing course within 1 day of hire
- completion of workplace harassment and drug free workplace courses within 7 days of hire
Job Duties
- Clean common, amenity and ground areas on a daily basis
- water and upkeep community landscaping as instructed
- spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup
- rake, sweep, shovel as circumstances warrant
- responsible for daily upkeep of the community buildings and grounds including cleaning and removing of trash
- responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the community and/or the company
- assist with make-ready and/or miscellaneous duties when requested
- maintain required community uniform and ensure professional appearance and behavior at all times
- operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times
- report unusual or extraordinary circumstances and initiate action to correct unsafe conditions
- respond courteously and efficiently at all times
- maintain thorough knowledge of company policies
- seek educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth and development
