The role of Groundskeeper at Fairfield is essential to maintaining the curb appeal and cleanliness of their apartment communities, ensuring residents enjoy a safe and welcoming environment. Groundskeepers perform a variety of critical functions including daily property inspections to maintain aesthetic standards, trash removal in communal areas, and assisting with seasonal upkeep such as snow removal and leaf clearance. This position emphasizes not only physical maintenance but also customer service, requiring Prompt and professional responses to resident needs and clear communication with the Service Manager about work progress and any emerging issues. Safety is paramount, and Groundskeepers adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety protocols to ensure compliance and secure operations.

This position is hourly, non-exempt, with an estimated pay range of $15.30 to $17.85 based on skills and experience, location, and job complexity. The pay reflects the base rate and does not include additional allowances or benefits. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of previous experience as a Groundskeeper or similar function preferred
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • General computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of and ability to use grounds tools and equipment
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Duties
