Job Description
Terraces at High Mountain is a residential community dedicated to providing clean, safe, and well-maintained living environments for its residents. As a professionally managed property, the community focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety across all shared spaces including offices, models, clubhouses, lobbies, laundry rooms, and various common areas. The community prides itself on a well-maintained landscape and spotless grounds which contribute significantly to the overall living experience and resident satisfaction. This establishment offers a weekend-hour position designed specifically for individuals motivated to contribute positively to the upkeep and appearance of the community’s residential and common areas. The work schedule involves weekends, with shifts on Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sundays from 1 PM to 5 PM as needed, providing an excellent opportunity for those seeking part-time employment with set hours. The position comes with notable benefits including paid sick leave, vacation, holidays, health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and 401K participation which not only supports your current work-life balance but also secures your future. Employer practices include equal opportunity employment and maintaining a drug-free workplace, ensuring a fair and safe environment for all employees.
The Groundskeeper/Porter role at Terraces at High Mountain is vital to the community's upkeep and cleanliness. This role requires dedication and attention to detail in maintaining common areas, vacant apartments, and the grounds to the highest standard. The individual in this position will perform cleaning, grounds maintenance, and policing of the community to ensure that all areas meet the rigorous standards set by Drucker + Falk, the management company. Responsibilities also include detailed record keeping of work hours, timely reporting to supervisors about completed tasks, and communicating any maintenance issues that may require attention. Since duties are performed both indoors and outdoors, the position demands adaptability to varying conditions, including extreme temperatures below 32 degrees and above 100 degrees. Physical demands of the job require the employee to frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally lift or move heavy objects up to 100 pounds. The role also involves working with potentially hazardous materials such as toxic chemicals and exposure to outdoor weather conditions, necessitating adherence to stringent safety protocols. This position offers excellent growth potential within the company and is ideal for those who enjoy active roles that contribute directly to the quality of the living environment for others. It is well-suited for individuals with a high school diploma or GED, or those with related experience or training. The Groundskeeper/Porter will operate as an essential part of the property management team, ensuring residents enjoy a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment that enhances their living experience at Terraces at High Mountain.
