Job Description

Horizon Air is a regional airline that operates as a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group, providing flight services primarily within the western United States and Canada. Known for its commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service, Horizon Air serves a vital role in connecting smaller communities to larger hubs through a network of short-haul flights. The airline is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, and is a key part of the Alaska Airlines family, offering passengers seamless travel experiences across its combined route network. As a company, Horizon Air values teamwork, diversity, and a collaborative work environment, striving to create remarkable experiences for both guests and employees alike.

The Ground Service Agent position at Horizon Air represents an essential front-line role within the company’s airport operations. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and take pride in ensuring that each flight departs safely and on time. The Ground Service Agent will perform a variety of tasks related to aircraft ramp operations, including the loading and unloading of luggage and cargo, preparing important flight documentation, marshaling aircraft, and providing essential services such as lavatory and potable water servicing, deicing, and aircraft grooming. This role demands strong physical stamina as agents must frequently lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and operate various types of ground support equipment.

Working at Horizon Air means becoming part of a team that values safety, professionalism, and customer care. Agents will need to adapt to flexible schedules that include night shifts, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the airline industry's continuous operational demands. In return, employees receive a competitive starting wage of $20.60 per hour, a comprehensive total rewards package including health, dental, and vision benefits, as well as free standby travel privileges on Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Horizon Air. Horizon Air also invests in employee growth through professional development opportunities and training programs that may require travel. Joining Horizon Air as a Ground Service Agent provides an exciting career pathway for those who enjoy fast-paced, hands-on work in the aviation sector and want to contribute directly to the smooth, safe operation of air travel.
