In return, employees receive a competitive total rewards package, including comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities, all designed to advance their careers and personal growth.
The Ground Service Agent role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and safety on the airport ramp. This position involves working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment where the agent is responsible for tasks that keep flights running smoothly. The agent engages in a variety of duties, including loading and unloading luggage and cargo, operating specialized airport equipment, performing aircraft servicing, and ensuring flight documentation is accurate and delivered correctly.
Ground Service Agents at Horizon Air play a fundamental role in the overall guest experience by ensuring that baggage and cargo are handled with care and precision. They contribute directly to on-time departures by effectively marshaling aircraft, executing pushback operations, and assisting with aircraft service tasks such as lavatory and potable water servicing, deicing, aircraft grooming, and security searches. Operating a range of equipment such as belt-loaders, tugs, air-start units, and deice trucks requires rigorous safety awareness and technical skill, making this role both physically engaging and critical to flight safety.
Employees in this position must be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and are provided with paid training that may involve overnight travel. The starting rate for this full-time role is competitive at $19.92 per hour, reflecting Horizon Air's commitment to recognizing and rewarding the hard work of its frontline teams.

The company adheres strictly to nondiscrimination laws and promotes a respectful workplace free from harassment and discrimination. It supports veterans, individuals with disabilities, and all legally protected groups, ensuring fair opportunities across all job levels and functions. Maintaining an airport security clearance and participating in drug testing are mandatory, underscoring Horizon Air’s dedication to safety and regulatory compliance.
Joining Horizon Air as a Ground Service Agent means becoming part of a team that values safety, integrity, kindness, and performance. The airline offers free stand-by travel privileges on Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Horizon Air, along with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Additional perks include generous 401k matching, annual bonus plans, and paid time off to support a balanced work life. Employees are also made aware of the importance of obtaining and maintaining a SIDA badge, essential for airport operations.
This role is ideally suited for individuals who thrive in energetic environments, enjoy working outdoors, and possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Horizon Air invites applicants who meet the requirements to embark on a rewarding career path that opens doors to new experiences and professional advancement in the aviation industry.
