Grocery Team Member - Night Crew

The Community Food Co-op is currently seeking Grocery Team Members to join their dynamic team. This non-exempt, union-represented position (covered under Teamsters Local 231 union) is classified at Union Level 1. Team members are eligible for a shift premium of $1.00 for all hours worked from 10 PM to 6 AM, reflecting the organization's commitment to fair compensation. The Grocery Team Member position plays a crucial role in maintaining the store's welcoming atmosphere by ensuring shelves are well-stocked, clean, and appealing to shoppers.

These team members can be part of either the day shift, focusing on stocking products, conditioning shelves, and offering direct customer service, or the night crew, responsible for receiving deliveries, stocking, and preparing the store for the next business day. Regardless of shift, all team members uphold the Community Food Co-op’s high standards for merchandising, cleanliness, and customer engagement. They deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service, assist with product inquiries, execute planogram merchandising, manage inventory rotation following First In First Out principles, and help maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Team members are also involved in operational and administrative support such as processing invoices, updating pricing labels, ensuring signage accuracy, and supporting ordering as needed. The role requires physical endurance as it involves standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 60 pounds, working in various temperature-controlled environments, and effectively operating equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts, with proper training and certification.
