Job Description
Invited is a well-established and dynamic company specializing in the hospitality and service industry. Since its founding in 1957, Invited has committed itself to building lasting relationships and enriching the lives of its members, guests, and a workforce exceeding 17,000 employees. As the largest owner and operator of private clubs in the United States, the company proudly manages over 130 country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs nationwide. Each club features first-class amenities including championship golf courses, modern workspaces, handcrafted cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, fitness centers, and numerous other luxury offerings tailored to provide an exceptional member experience. Invited operates in a highly inclusive and team-oriented environment, making it an attractive company for individuals passionate about hospitality and service excellence.
The role of Server 1 at Invited is crucial in maintaining the high-quality service standards that define the company. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to both members and guests, ensuring that every interaction exemplifies Invited’s signature service approach which revolves around three key steps: warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells. The Server 1 role requires a strong focus on hospitality, communication, and teamwork to create seamless and memorable dining experiences. This non-leadership role supports the overall dining operations and works closely with other team members to uphold member satisfaction and retention. The position requires adherence to the Invited Food and Beverage service training program and involves duties such as executing food and beverage orders efficiently, knowing the à la carte menu including daily specials, greeting members by name, assisting colleagues, resolving guest concerns with service recovery strategies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service area.
Server 1 also contributes to the operational success by completing daily side work, supporting management with additional assignments, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards as outlined by club policies. The work schedule may include weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed to meet the demands of club operations. Physical requirements demand the ability to stand, walk, and perform various physical activities for extended periods, sometimes in varying environmental conditions. The role is ideal for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in food and beverage service. Certifications such as Food Handler and Alcohol Server are preferred, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Invited provides a competitive compensation package that reflects an individual’s skills, experience, education, and location. Full-time team members benefit from an extensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, and paid time off and leave programs. Invited fosters an inclusive workplace culture that values professional development, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence, making it a rewarding place to build a career in the hospitality industry. This opportunity presents an exceptional chance to join a respected leader in private club management and to be part of a team dedicated to delivering unparalleled service and fostering meaningful relationships.
