This Dietary Cook position offers a starting wage of $18.70 per hour or higher, depending on prior experience. Employees working between 8 and 24 hours per week are eligible for a $300 sign-on bonus, while those working more than 24 hours per week can receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The current opening involves working hours from 5:30 am to 2 pm, with a commitment of 32 to 40 hours per week. Job Requirements
- Must have completed grammar school or higher
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Previous dietary or grilling experience preferred
- Successfully pass a drug test, background check including criminal history, certification registries, and employment history
- Completion of training as required by Missouri Slope
- Must receive annual influenza vaccination or obtain an approved exemption
- Must adhere to safety and risk management policies
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving weights as described
- Must be able to work the scheduled hours from 5:30 am to 2 pm
- Must follow Nutritional Services dress code and maintain good personal hygiene
Job Qualifications
- Completion of grammar school or higher
- Ability to understand and follow dietary and safety procedures
- Previous experience in dietary or grilling preferred
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Effective communication skills in English

- Willingness to complete assigned training through the Relias learning center
Job Duties
- Prepare food following procedures and policies to meet menu requirements for residents, including therapeutic diets
- Follow proper cleaning, sanitation and safe operating procedures in food production, dishwashing and storing dishes
- Demonstrate flexibility in job assignments and work cooperatively with fellow employees
- Respect and uphold resident rights including confidentiality and reporting incidents of abuse or neglect
- Use large kitchen equipment such as grills, deep fryers, ovens, and dishwashers safely
- Speak, read, write and comprehend English to calculate measurements and follow recipes, tray tickets, menus and special event requirements
- Lift and move weights and food carts as required during food preparation and distribution
