Job Requirements
- must have availability on Sundays
- stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
- work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
- lift and carry 30+ lbs
- work in hot and humid environments
Job Qualifications
- must be 16 years of age or older
- possession of Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card or willingness to obtain one
- experience is preferred
- basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills
- self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- ability to multitask and retain multiple called ticket items
Job Duties
- adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
- maintain knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- read all printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
- accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
- monitor the temperature of equipment and food cook times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
- operate oven, fryer, grill, and other kitchen equipment safely
- effectively coordinate the timing of the various products and courses for every order regardless of station
- handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
- promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
- communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
- complete all opening, closing, and side duties
- assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
- work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect
