The Grill Cook/Banquet Cook position at Flik Hospitality Group is a full-time role with a flexible schedule that includes Monday through Friday shifts, weekends, and varied AM and PM hours. This role demands experience from hotel kitchens or banquet cooking environments, emphasizing the importance of delivering high-quality food prepared in strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards. As a Grill Cook/Banquet Cook, your primary responsibility will be to prepare food items and serve customers at the grill station, guaranteeing taste, quality, and presentation meet Flik’s high standards. The position requires adherence to all federal, state, and corporate regulations to ensure food safety and customer satisfaction. From taking customer orders to preparing short-prep items, managing steam tables, and maintaining cleanliness, this role involves a wide range of essential duties. The successful candidate will take orders efficiently, taste food for quality control, manage ticket-collection procedures, and uphold portion control standards. Moreover, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workstation is a crucial part of the job, involving cleaning and sanitizing equipment and adhering to proper food storage and rotation guidelines. The role also entails resolving customer concerns professionally and maintaining positive working relationships with team members and supervisors. Job Duties

  • Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation
  • completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations
  • serves customers efficiently and friendly following established service steps
  • ensures food is at correct temperature, attractive and tasty
  • tastes all prepared food for quality control
  • uses established ticket-collection procedures during service
  • maintains records from area worked during service periods
  • uses approved recipes and production standards for quality, portion control and serving temperatures
  • carries pans, kettles, and trays of food safely following standards
  • stores foods using proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures
  • cleans, sanitizes and maintains assigned work areas, equipment and utensils
  • resolves customer concerns and reports to supervisor
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, managers
  • performs job safely maintaining clean, safe work environment
  • performs other duties as assigned
