Job Requirements

  • Prior hotel kitchen or banquet cooking experience required
  • ability to comply with federal, state and local food safety regulations
  • availability to work full time including weekends and varying shifts
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow instructions and recipes
  • flexibility to work AM and PM shifts as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Prior hotel kitchen or banquet cooking experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • ability to follow established recipes and portion control
  • teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • basic food preparation skills

Job Duties

  • Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation
  • completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations
  • serves customers efficiently and friendly following established service steps
  • ensures food is at correct temperature, attractive and tasty
  • tastes all prepared food for quality control
  • uses established ticket-collection procedures during service
  • maintains records from area worked during service periods
  • uses approved recipes and production standards for quality, portion control and serving temperatures
  • carries pans, kettles, and trays of food safely following standards
  • stores foods using proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures
  • cleans, sanitizes and maintains assigned work areas, equipment and utensils
  • resolves customer concerns and reports to supervisor
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, managers
  • performs job safely maintaining clean, safe work environment
  • performs other duties as assigned
