The Food Prep Worker II position at Aramark offers an integral role within their food service operations. This position is responsible for assisting cooks, chefs, or food service managers by preparing ingredients for recipes and engaging in a variety of food preparation and service tasks that ensure excellent quality and safety standards. The role requires preparing food consistently according to recipes and production guidelines while strictly adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures outlined by Aramark and regulatory agencies. The Food Prep Worker II prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items, setting up workstations with necessary equipment and ingredients, and effectively utilizing kitchen utensils and tools safely.

Additionally, the position involves garnishing and portioning food according to prescribed guidelines, proper storage of food items to maintain freshness and compliance with food safety policies, and maintaining clean and sanitized work areas that meet sanitation standards. The Food Prep Worker II also plays a key role in supporting Aramark's commitment to safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation, while upholding company asset security.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous food prep experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • must be able to obtain food safety certification
  • ability to use kitchen utensils safely
  • good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food prep experience preferred
  • knowledge of various food prep methods, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage preferred
  • must be able to obtain required food safety certification
  • demonstrates basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties
