Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness to work varying AM and PM shifts
  • Ability to comply with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Reliable transportation to Thop Memorial Campus location
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job including standing for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to follow established recipes and production standards
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work part-time with flexible shifts
  • Willingness to learn and attend training sessions
  • Ability to maintain friendly and efficient customer service
  • Capability to handle multiple food preparation and service tasks
  • Basic math skills for measuring and portioning
  • Physical capability to carry food pans and maintain a clean work environment

Job Duties

  • Take orders from customers and prepare food items requiring short preparation
  • Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations
  • Serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner following established steps of service
  • Ensure food is at correct temperature and is visually attractive and tasty
  • Taste all prepared food items
  • Use established ticket-collection procedures during service
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Store foods properly following safety and rotation procedures
  • Resolve customer concerns and report to supervisor
  • Attend in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and management
  • Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
