Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, food safety regulations
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled menu items according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and quality standards
- Ensure proper food handling, cooking temperatures, holding procedures, and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Maintain product quality, portion control, and presentation standards throughout service periods
- Monitor inventory levels, communicate product needs, and assist with stock rotation using FIFO procedures
- Set up, operate, clean, and maintain grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Support peak service periods by managing multiple orders while maintaining speed, accuracy, and quality
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked before, during, and after service
- Assist with receiving, storing, and preparing food products as needed
- Collaborate with culinary and front-of-house team members to ensure a positive guest experience
- Adhere to all company, client, health department, and food safety regulations
