Job Requirements
- Previous grill cooking experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment
- Availability to work at the Jordan Creek location in West Des Moines, IA
Job Qualifications
- Previous grill cooking experience
- Ability to prepare and serve food according to established recipes and standards
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Duties
- Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation
- Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations
- Serve customers efficiently and friendly following established steps of service
- Ensure food is at the correct temperature, attractive and tasty
- Taste all prepared food items
- Use established ticket-collection procedures during service
- Maintain records from area worked during service periods
- Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures and portion control
- Carry pans, kettles and trays of food safely
- Store foods following standard wrapping, dating and food safety procedures
- Clean, sanitize and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils
- Resolve customer concerns and report relevant information to supervisor
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
