Job Requirements

  • Prior cooking experience required
  • Full time availability including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks related to cooking
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to work in a constant standing position and lift heavy pans and trays
  • Willingness to attend training and safety meetings
  • Must comply with company policies including drug-free workplace standards

Job Duties

  • Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation
  • Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations
  • Serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service
  • Ensures food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Tastes all prepared food items for quality control
  • Uses approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, temperature, and portion control
  • Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food safely to and from workstations
  • Stores foods properly following food safety and rotation procedures
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Resolves customer concerns and reports them to supervisors
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and management
  • Performs job safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
