Job Requirements

  • Prior short-order cooking experience preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
  • Must be able to meet food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry food trays and equipment
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Willingness to learn and follow company procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Prior short-order cooking experience

  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic math skills for portion control and measuring
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation
  • Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations
  • Serve customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service meeting outlined standards
  • Ensure food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Taste all prepared food items for quality
  • Use established ticket-collection procedures during service
  • Maintain accurate records for the area worked during service periods
  • Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control
  • Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
  • Store foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards
  • Resolve customer concerns and communicate relevant information to supervisors
  • Attend in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
