At Nando's PERi-PERi, we are excited to offer the Front Grill Cook position, an integral role within our kitchen team. This position involves taking full ownership of the preparation and execution of food items specifically in the grill station. As a Front Grill Cook, you will be responsible for consistently delivering the highest quality chicken and other menu items, making sure every dish meets Nando's exacting standards for taste, presentation, and safety. The role demands a strong team player who can collaborate effectively with service team members to provide an exceptional customer experience.

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions, providing flexibility to suit various schedules and career goals. Compensation includes a competitive base wage coupled with additional earnings from tips, averaging $3 to $4 per hour worked. Job Requirements

  • Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
  • Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Basic English language and professional communication skills
  • Able to independently lift to 15lbs for an extended period
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout your shift
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Reaching, bending twisting, stooping
  • Pushing and pulling
  • Lifting overhead
  • Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants that have multiple levels

Job Qualifications

  • Basic English language and professional communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Commitment to quality service
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to take direction in a team environment
  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail in food presentation

Job Duties

  • Take full ownership for the daily preparation and execution of food items in the grill station
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by producing high quality chicken and menu items efficiently
  • Follow recipes, procedures and presentation standards consistently
  • Work as a team player assisting colleagues and collaborating with the service team
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized grill station throughout your shift
  • Support the team in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
