The position of Grill Cook at Sodexo located at Carroll College is a full-time role with a pay range of $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. This role is vital in delivering high-quality food service to customers in various meal periods including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events. The Grill Cook will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of hot and/or cold food items efficiently and accurately while reducing food waste and ensuring excellent customer service. Candidates are expected to have open availability, with shifts varying and details provided during the interview process. This role is perfect for individuals who are team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and passionate about food preparation in a safe and healthy environment. Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
- read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipes
- prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
- attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
- maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
- reduce food waste through efficient food preparation practices
