Located at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts - Winston, Sodexo is hiring a part-time Grill Cook position offering competitive pay ranging from $13.00 to $14.50 per hour. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation, teamwork, and delivering outstanding customer service while working flexible shifts with open availability preferred.

As a Grill Cook, you will play an essential role in Sodexo's food service team by efficiently preparing, portioning, grilling, and presenting a variety of nutritious hot and cold dishes for different meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Your responsibilities will involve reading and measuring ingredients according to recipes, managing cooking stations such as grills and fryers, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and safely. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
