The Grill Cook position at Sodexo, located at the ACHIEVE site in Tempe, presents an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and customer service. This full-time role offers a competitive pay range between $16 and $20 per hour and operates primarily on weekdays with specific shifts, details of which will be provided during the interview. The Grill Cook plays an essential role in the culinary team by preparing and presenting nutritious grilled and other hot or cold food items for various meal periods, encompassing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Precision in measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes is expected to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served.

As a Grill Cook, you will have the opportunity to work with various kitchen equipment such as grills and fryers, and may also engage in direct service to customers at an a la carte station. The role requires punctuality and reliability, as attendance and timely presence for scheduled shifts are critical to maintaining smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer experience. Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with team members to reduce food waste and ensure quality
