The Grill Cook position at SodexoMagic, located at Jackson State University, offers a full-time opportunity with hourly pay ranging from $12 to $16. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and customer service, willing to work varying shifts with open availability preferred. As a Grill Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and creating nutritious and appealing dishes, contributing to a positive dining experience for diverse clientele throughout various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. The position demands efficiency, attention to detail, and a focus on minimizing food waste while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will operate kitchen equipment such as grill stations and fryers and may work in an a la carte service setting, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.

Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods
- read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipes
- prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
- attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- maintain a clean and organized work area
- collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- perform other duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
