The Grill Cook position at Sodexo is a full-time role located in Plano, Texas. Paying between $18 and $22 per hour, this role suits individuals who are passionate about food preparation and customer service. The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing, portioning, grilling, and presenting a variety of nutritious hot and cold dishes over multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0 to 2 years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekdays
  • Reliable transportation to work

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte station and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
