This job opportunity is for the position of Grill Cook at Sodexo, specifically located at Avista Corporation HQ in Spokane. This is a full-time role during weekday morning shifts with a competitive pay range of $22 to $24 per hour. The Grill Cook plays an essential role within the culinary team by preparing and presenting a variety of nutritious hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for accurate portioning, grilling, and presentation while ensuring food safety and minimal waste. This position demands a passion for food quality, a positive attitude towards teamwork, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You will also be expected to operate kitchen equipment such as grills and fryers efficiently and maintain cleanliness and organization in your work area.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0 to 2 years of related experience preferred
- Ability to handle kitchen equipment such as grills and fryers
- Reliable and punctual with good attendance
- Strong team orientation and adaptability

Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
- Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipes
- Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
- Attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill and kitchen area
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
